The Principal has extensive experience in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of bridges, especially in developing countries.

This experience covers Bailey bridges, truss bridges, cable-stayed bridges, suspension bridges and prestressed concrete bridges.

He has a good understanding of the requirements for bridge design in developing countries and has developed appropriate bridge design requirements for several countries.

The inspection of Bailey bridges, other prefabricated bridges and truss bridges for damage and fatigue is a speciality.

Low-level bridges were developed as an economical method of crossing large rivers for low-traffic roads in developing countries, subject to control of debris accumulation.
